It's wonderful to have you here. I've been working as a Fine Art photographer since I started as a 19-year-old at my home in Japan, and it's taken me down many wonderful paths this past decade.

I have had many long nights of work for a single image. It would be hours building sets and props till 4 AM, unsure how the glue and nails would hold things together.

There have been sketchbooks filled with ideas, and I would constantly wonder when and how I would bring them from the paper to in front of my eyes.

Then, of course, hours of relentless editing. After all of that, I would finally get to see what was in my head out in the world. Despite how heavy the work can be it has always been an incredible feeling.

This course will focus on creating playful and fantastical scenes, based on your personal life experiences, emotions, and perspective. Allowing you to explore your imagination and bring whimsical visions to life through your photography.

Course Overview:

This course offers personalized one-on-one mentorship, focusing on both the artistic and technical aspects of photography. We will explore the theme of Whimsical Worlds to deepen your understanding of yourself through your work. 

What You'll Learn:

Concept Development: Learn how to conceive and develop your ideas into compelling photographic projects.

Technical Skills: Master shooting and editing techniques to bring your vision to life.

Creative Direction: Receive individualized guidance to refine your artistic style and approach.

Course Structure:

Duration: 4 weeks

Sessions: One-hour weekly online meetings, and daily email correspondence 

Assignments: Two mini-assignments and one main project

Mode: Remote only, via ZOOM or Google Meet.

Communication: Weekly feedback and messaging correspondence.
